In October 2008 West End Advanced Life Support merged with West End Community Ambulance. With a dedicated group of volunteers and career staff West End Community Ambulance continues to provide the best in emergency care to the residents and visitors of the West End of Monroe
County. West End Community Ambulance provides Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to Chestnuthill Township and the surrounding areas. We have two stations; Basic Life Support located in Effort and Advanced Life Support located in Saylorsburg. West End Community Ambulance responds to roughly 3800 calls per year. As we are no longer solely a volunteer organization, we rely on third-party billing, subscription fees, donations and various fund raising events as a means to insure that our personnel are properly trained, our equipment is state of the art and that we are there when you need us.
